Celfocus and OneWeb win The Satellite Telecoms Award at the World Communication Awards

Celfocus was recognised internationally by the industry and won a prize in the World Communication Awards, in the category The Satellite Telecoms Award with OneWeb, with the project: “Bridging the Digital Divide: Connecting Communities Worldwide with seamless Order Management”.

The World Communication Awards, created by Total Telecom, is an annual celebration of innovation and excellence in the global telecommunications industry. The 25th edition took place in November, in Amsterdam, and among the winners, Celfocus and OneWeb stood out, securing the Satellite Telecoms Award.

OneWeb is a low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications company whose aim is to deliver fixed and mobile high-speed, low-latency coverage for governments, businesses, communities, and sectors like maritime and aviation.

To allow their digital products to be activated instantly, OneWeb partnered with Celfocus for the implementation of an Order Management Solution that can support multisite and multi-product order decomposition and visualisation, and also map commercial product specification into customer-facing scpecification.

This cloud-native solution enables efficient tracking and activation of services, contributing to the broader distribution of internet connectivity. By automating order fulfilment processes, the collaboration enhances connectivity in remote and underserved areas, aligning with the global push for digital inclusion.

Winners were chosen by an industry panel of judges who evaluated entries based on innovation, impact, and contribution to the advancement of global communication.

About the project, the judges said, “A wonderfully detailed entry that shows the great progress being made in a rapidly expanding industry. I look forward to seeing what comes next”.
