Celfocus partners with Technovation Girls
In 2024, nearly 11.000 girls from 69 countries developed 3.200 tech-based solutions to address community problems, participating in the Technovation Girls worldwide program. Celfocus strengthened its support this season, sponsoring, mentoring, and training 9 teams of girls aged 8 to 18. This included 2 teams made up of daughters and family members of our own Celfocus employees, one of which reached the world semifinals.

|---Module:text|Size:Small---| Technovation Girls is a groundbreaking program designed to inspire, educate, and empower young girls to become the next generation of innovators in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). This transformative initiative goes beyond traditional educational boundaries, fostering creativity, collaboration, and confidence in girls from diverse backgrounds.

|---Module:testimony|Size:Small|Name:Luis Paulo Salvado|Position:Executive Chairman|Company:Celfocus---| As a parent, I want to highlight that Technovation Girls is not just about girls learning how to develop an app, but about working together to create something real that works. They start without knowing each other and need to learn how to use their different skills and backgrounds. These teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential for a happy and fulfilling life. I discovered new sides and characteristics of my daughter that I hadn't known before. As a D&I sponsor, I’m very proud to support Technovation Girls because the tech world urgently needs more gender balance for many good reasons: more and better opportunities for women, a stronger global talent pool, and better gender representation in decision-making positions. I believe the program is so beneficial that it should be expanded to other groups, like Technovation Boys.”

|---Module:text|Size:Small---| Celfocus teams developed applications addressing issues such as recycling and beach preservation, presenting their pitches at the Technovation Portugal national event held at Católica University. The girls worked closely with Celfocus mentors who volunteered to help them create impactful solutions while developing their human and technological skills. Additionally, some of our colleagues volunteered as judges, assessing and providing feedback to other teams in the Technovation community. Two of them have been recognized by Technovation Gils as Judge Advisors as they were involved in more than 11 projects.

Our partnership with Happy Code, a technological school, and this Program’s Ambassadors in Portugal, further strengthened our commitment to these objectives, amplifying the reach and influence of our collective efforts.

At Celfocus, we believe in creating a responsible, inclusive, and diverse community where everyone can thrive, and jobs have no gender. Through education, we are fostering a positive impact within our community. Together, we aim to empower the next generation with the skills and mindset needed for a technologically advanced and inclusive future. We look forward to even greater engagement and impact next year. Stay tuned!
